Photo Diary Part III

Rocky's Stag Do

Proof, if any was needed, that the subcrawl is an ancient and honourable tradition, is provided by these photos from long ago in 1997. Rocky was the stag on this occasion and to his eternal credit he managed not to disgrace himself until the last pub.

Apart from the youthful features, the most striking thing about the photos is the inclusion of those rarely-visited hostelries, the District Bar (Kinning Park) and the Albion Way (Ibrox).

Illuminated by the stained-glass windows of Times Square (and no, we can't remember what the red nose was about)

Outside the Laurieston

Playing Taggart on West Street ("Thur's bin a murr-durr!") on the way to the Gairdner's

The Honours Three

It was possibly at this point in the journey that we began to "over-relax"

The seldom-visited District Bar

Outside the Kensington, looking a bit confused

The infamous Albion Way (can you read the name etched into the dirt?)

A visit to Govan these days is enough to have you climbing up the walls

Outside the Hayburn Vaults - "Hey pal, yir wrong, it's only Stop No. 9"

Two studies of the Dolphin, with us in the distance

Somewhere in Hillhead, we think, possibly outside Curler's (it starts to get confusing at this point)

The "E.O.D." - twice

Probably the Captain's Rest

Macintosh's saw an attempted re-enactment of the film "Face-Off"

...and by Dow Jones only two were left (and that f***ing nose was back again)
